What is Important for Our Website

Hi all. Lets get a separate Website going for musicians. The oly jazz central meetup site will continue to grow, but its focus will be more about audience. The (unnamed) new site will be dedicated to the players. It will be a sponsor of oly jazz central, and it will be yet another site that can be found when people are looking for jazz in Olympia. I am listing some choices below. Please vote on these, and add others in a message (to me and danielle). We should start work on a website soon, while we have people available. So - I appreciate your thoughts and time for feedback. Bring ideas to the next in person meetup too. (Jan 16). I think all of what is listed is useful. Agree? No? Vote! Be patient with me/us. We may need to do several of these polls... - Lisa

Sustainable jazz scene in Olympia?

Is it possible to create a sustainable jazz scene in Olympia's future?

Would having a strong jazz community help jazz education for young music students?

These are approximate numbers here but stick with me on this. Let's say that we have 10-high schools and even 10-more middle schools in our Thurston County area that have some kind of jazz band program. If we take a low-average of 12-students per school jazz band that'll give us a total of 240-young jazz students that are learning to read and play jazz music. These students really have no place in Olympia to go to listen to professional jazz musicians perform the music they are attempting to learn. Is this an important matter? Should we be concerned?
