Omaha Area Homeschoolers provides homeschooling support in the Omaha Metro area for families with at least one child of school age - i.e., registered with the state under Rule 12 or Rule 13. Make the most of your at- home-learning by joining nearby home educators for educational workshops for kids and adults, field trips, park days, play dates, Mom's Night Out, special events and so much more! If you are looking for an active group, we are here for your support, social enrichment, and educational opportunities! Whether your homeschooling method is Unschooling, Waldorf, Classical, Unit Studies, Eclectic, or your very own unique style... you are welcome here. You've found the right place! Come in and join us today; we can't wait to meet you!
While younger siblings of school aged children are welcome to attend events with their siblings, if all of your children are still under compulsory schooling age, and you wish to investigate homeschooling or plan to homeschool when they reach school age, please join our Omaha Area Future Homeschoolers group. This group contains current homeschooling families to provide support, information, resources, and activities to potential homeschoolers, as well as future homeschooling families with pre-school age children, so that you can begin to form friendships and network prior to your children entering school.
