Wincopin Trails, Savage Park - 6:30 PM Monday 3/31/2014

GOODBYE winter.....you're finally outta here!   Hello, Spring!

This walk takes a little less than an hour if we do the Red Trail and about an hour and 15 minutes if we do the Green Trail.

Savage Park

Savage, Maryland

Wincopin Trails off Vollmerhausen Road

A nice Google MAP - http://tinyurl.com/WincopinTrailMap

Info from Howard County about these trails (website says a trail map is coming soon):

http://countyofhowardmd.us/Departments.aspx?id=4294969943

These are unpaved trails, with some rocks and branches creating an uneven surface.

I recommend sturdy sneakers or hiking boots/trail shoes. If your dog likes to take a dip in the river, there are many places where they can get wet!!!

Bring water for you and your dog and waste pickup bags.

The parking lot for the Wincopin trails of Savage Park is located on Vollmerhausen Road, a short distance downhill from the Patuxent Valley Middle School. If you're using a GPS or Mapquest, you can get there by entering: 9271 Vollmerhausen Road, Jessup MD.

If you're coming from Savage-Guilford Road, it is a little parking lot on your Left.  If you are coming from Murray Hill Road it is a little parking lot on your right.

I start a new job on Monday, yay! But not sure yet how the commute from Germantown will be, but I'll hopefully breeze throughout the 200 toll road so that Kuna and I will make it.

Most of the walks that I schedule will be weeknight evenings. If any member of the group would like to set up a weekend walk, or even a daytime weekday walk, please send me a message. I might schedule a weekend walk on a Saturday morning or Sunday afternoon, but those will be once a month or even less frequent. Hope you might find a way to join us as your schedule permits.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
