Join me for a 41.4 mile ride starting at Blue Jay Point. I am borrowing this route from Ron so I’m sure it is quite hilly. Gather in the parking lot next to the education center. I hope to take off at 9:00 so please come a little early to get ready.
15+ mph pace. If you want to do the ride at a faster pace, that is fine. I will bring cue sheets for all those who RSVP. I will post the route here a little closer to the date. There will only be a sweep if someone volunteers to sweep. Please be prepared to ride with a cue sheet. Generally there is someone else about your speed to ride with a we tend to look out for each other.
Remember to bring your helmet, water bottles, snacks, eye protection, an extra tire tube, pump or CO2. It is also a good idea to always ride with your ID, cell phone, insurance card and an emergency contact either written or programmed into your phone as ICE (In Case of Emergency).
Email me if you have questions. I will send out my cell phone # the day before the ride.
Update - I have an excel file of the cue sheet. I can email it to you. I apparently can't attach an excel file here. The roads used are: Pleasant Union Church Rd, Six Forks, New Light, Purnell, Bold
Run Hill, Mangum Dairy/Lawrence, Horseshoe Rd, Hwy 96,Wayside
Farm Rd, Bruce Garner Rd, Rock Spring Ch Rd/BeaverDam, Old
Weaver Trail, New Light, Ghoston Rd, Peed Rd, Mt Vernon Church
I apologize for not being more proficient with mapmyride, etc. so have not included a link here (yet).
