Operation Gratitude--St. Patrick's Day edition

  • Mar 16, 2013 · 9:00 AM
  • This location is shown only to members

Get in the true spirit of St. Patrick's Day with fun and service!

Join One Brick in a morning of service with Operation Gratitude, which sends care packages addressed to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in harm's way.

Tens of thousands of American Service Members are deployed in hostile and remote regions of the world, including the Middle East, Afghanistan, and on ships throughout international waters. The physical conditions they must endure are difficult and they may be separated from loved ones for long periods of time.

Thumbs Up!

Through Collection Drives, Letter Writing Campaigns and Donations of funds for shipping expenses, Operation Gratitude provides civilians anywhere in America a way to express their respect and appreciation to the men and women of the U.S. Military in an active, hands-on manner.

What we'll be doing

This day is an "Prep Day" meaning sorting donated items, folding shirts, screening letters, and otherwise preparing the products and the Assembly Line for our Assembly Days.

What you should know

Our shift will be from 9am-12pm.

~Wear closed-toe shoes

~Wear comfortable clothing; please avoid political statements on clothing..

~Lock purses or other valuables in your car: We do not have a safe place for them and will not accept responsibility for personal property.

Afterwards, we'll go out, grab a bite/drink, and mingle at Ireland's 32 Pub!

I am so sorry. I am always wearing an orange One Brick hat and holding a sign or clipboard. We usually meet next to the sign-in tent. Glad you had fun (what did you end up doing?)

What troupers! Or should I say troopers. Didn't I tell you it was a military operation.
Thanks for making a difference for our soliders and supporting One Brick!
