Best Buddies Friendship Walk

WHAT IS THE BEST BUDDIES FRIENDSHIP WALK?
The Best Buddies Friendship Walk is a fun-filled community fundraiser to support your local Best Buddies programs of inclusion. Each walk affords us the opportunity to celebrate the importance of the Best Buddies mission, educate the public on the need for soci al inclusion, and empower people with IDD to become leaders within their community.

One Brick volunteers will assist with registration, directing participants, helping with course logistics, etc.

Operation Gratitude

Operation Gratitude seeks to lift morale and put smiles on faces by sending care packages addressed to individual Soldiers, Sailors, Airmen and Marines deployed in harm's way.

Tens of thousands of American Service Members are deployed in hostile and remote regions of the world, including the Middle East, Afghanistan, and on ships throughout international waters. The physical conditions they must endure are difficult and they may be separated from loved ones for long periods of time.

Through Collection Drives, Letter Writing Campaigns and Donations of funds for shipping expenses, Operation Gratitude provides civilians anywhere in America a way to express their respect and appreciation to the men and women of the U.S. Military in an active, hands-on manner.

This is your oportunity to give back to those who risk so much for us overseas.
What we'll be doing
This day is an "Assembly Day" meaning production of care packages, labeling, taping, custom forming, letter reading and writing, running packages, re-stocking the lines, breaking down cartons and many other tasks.

What you should know
Our shift will be from 1pm-4pm.

~Please wear closed-toe shoes

~Wear comfortable clothing; please avoid political statements on clothing..

~Please lock purse or other valuables in your car: We do not have a safe place for them and will not accept responsibility for personal property.
