An Evening of Gender Dialogue with ManKind Project

ManKind Project and One Taste Austin present an inter-gender discussion about our relationships, sex, and how we show up in our lives as men and women.

Through discussion and interactive exercises, we'll explore how the masculine and feminine are portrayed in society, how they manifest in us, and how we can embrace them to be our full selves.

The stark differences between the masculine and the feminine are our greatest source of conflict and also fuel our sexual attraction to each other. Come examine the ways we keep each other comfortable and small, and consider how we can unite for each others' freedom.

Speak your truth. Listen to others. Be challenged. Take responsibility.

Connect with local organizations that can help you gain skills to take this work to the next level.

The event will be facilitated by Joe Carr of the ManKind Project, and Jessica Tartaro of One Taste Austin.

Joe Carr has been working for gender liberation since he was 16 years old. He is the Outreach Coordinator for ManKind Project Central Texas, a community of men teaching power with compassion as they realize their dreams. He is the co-founder and Program Director of the Growin' Together Hands-On Afterschool program, and a mentor with Boys to Men Texas, supporting adolescent boys on their journey into manhood. Rocky, you might want to look at the map link at the top of this page. It does show the building which is on Monroe about 500 yards East of South 1st Street.

Can the host please clarify if this venue is correct?
The Vuka Co-Op seems like a real place - it is on Google maps, it has a website, and they are actively tweeting.

We just grab a coffee and speak French. Some people have been coming every week for months... it creates a kind of warmth to the group.
