Tonight's speaker:

Stacey Fulhorst, Director of the City of San Diego's Ethics Commission (http://www.sandiego.gov/ethics/index.shtml), will kickoff of our collaboration with the Commission to create an Open Disclosure (http://www.opendisclosure.io/) tool for San Diego that will enhance the transparency of money flow in local politics.

The Ethics Commission is an independent department that monitors, administers, and enforces the City's governmental ethics laws. Their work includes conducting investigations, referring violations for enforcement, and auditing disclosure statements. They also advise and educate City officials, candidates, political committees, and lobbyists.

We meet on the first and third Tuesday of every month.

We follow an agenda that typically includes hearing a brief presentation from a local government official or open-government project advocate followed by our working in teams on various projects.

Everyone is welcome! We have a wide variety of skillsets and are always looking to include interested people with interesting projects.
