This group is dedicated to bringing the institutions and practices that constitute science into the 21st century. In recent decades, many disturbing trends have emerged that impede free scientific inquiry, slow lifesaving research, and otherwise impair the practice of science for the benefit of all humanity. Recently, the fledgling, International Open Science Movement has rallied around the promise of networked knowledge sharing possibilities. New P2P tools and paradigms enable science to finally live up to its own finest ideals.
