Big Money, Big Data Datafest and Hackathon

Bicoastal hackathon being organized by the Sunlight Foundation in conjunction with Stanford and Columbia See the following link for more information and to get free tickets:

http://sunlightfoundation.com/blog/2013/01/04/register-now-for-big-money-big-data-and-you-datafest-hackathon-feb-2-3-2013/

I did not see the exact location at Stanford listed so please note that the Meetup location is approximate.

I am planning to attend - it seems like a good networking opportunity.

If you decide to go it is not sufficient for you to respond to this Meetup.  Make sure to get a ticket from Eventbrite through the link above.

Also, they are asking people to form teams and consider the possible problems ahead of time.  If people in this Meetup want to form a team or teams, I welcome you to use our discussion board for that purpose.

I see that registration for the Hackathon is now full. If you are not sure whether you can attend or don't have an interest in actually working on a project, you may wish to change your RSVP to No both on the Meetup and at Eventbrite, so that someone on the wait list can participate. I found a project that interests me: gathering data on financial holdings by representatives and senators, and cross referencing these against their votes.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
