This statement from the Earth Day Foundation is a follow-up to yesterday's note on the subject of Festival Day Weather . . .
"For the first time in seven years, the Arkansas Earth Day Festival is facing a threat of rain. The Festival is a rain or shine event, so we invite the public to come out despite light showers. In the case of persistent thunderstorms or severe weather we will not put festival-goers or our volunteers in danger, so a delayed opening will be considered. Please check our FaceBook site at www.facebook.com/AREarthDay or our website at www.arkansasearthday.org for up-to-date information and delay or cancellation announcements."
Open Door Outreach is a social group for friendship and volunteerism. ODO is secular, nonpolitical, and open to everyone! Volunteer opportunities are reviewed and planned at our Monday coffee house meetups (5:30-6:30 at Sufficient Grounds), but it's not necessary to attend those meetings to volunteer with the group at any of our activities. We also have occasional social get-togethers just to have fun! So... this is a great Meetup spot for anyone who enjoys fun, friendship, and helping the community. :)
