This statement from the Earth Day Foundation is a follow-up to yesterday's note on the subject of Festival Day Weather . . .
"For the first time in seven years, the Arkansas Earth Day Festival is facing a threat of rain. The Festival is a rain or shine event, so we invite the public to come out despite light showers. In the case of persistent thunderstorms or severe weather we will not put festival-goers or our volunteers in danger, so a delayed opening will be considered. Please check our FaceBook site at www.facebook.com/AREarthDay or our website at www.arkansasearthday.org for up-to-date information and delay or cancellation announcements."
Open Door Outreach is a social group for friendship and volunteerism. ODO is secular, nonpolitical, and open to everyone! Volunteer opportunities are reviewed and planned at our Monday coffee house meetups (5:20-6:30'ish at Sufficient Grounds), but it's not necessary to attend those meetings to volunteer with the group at any of our activities. We also have occasional social get togethers just to have fun! So... this is a great Meetup spot for anyone who enjoys fun, friendship, and doing some really Feel Good things. :)
