What do you have to work on?

I have several side project which I may bring to the group for feedback ranging from productivity utilities for developers to creativity tools for musicians. I also work on technical writing and practice communication though tutorial style talks which I have done at various Ruby meetup groups. I enjoyed the opportunity and great honor to speak at HashRocket Chicago on UNIX text editor history while providing a new user tutorial on ed/ex at their Vim Chicago group. I have several "killer ideas" a week. I'm sure as my skill set grows and I become comfortable with the group members I'll present one of my more personal and passionate projects for the groups input and dissection. Looking forward to hacking with everyone! ~Stu

What do you want to learn?

I am interested in grokking anything which has to do with modern web application methodology and technologies. I truly believe, actually I know, that we all learn from each other. I look forward to learning the practices and ideals of the people who attend this hack night and hope I can be reciprocal to those working their way down the stack as I'm currently working my way up! =)

UNIX System (BSD and GNU) Programming and Administration, Networking, Security and Automation. 15+ years hacking classic shell and awk. I also have experience with C and have been hacking Ruby for the last several years. I'm currently grokking scheme
