Meetings about the development and application of open technologies for DNA engineering of plants, part of a BBSRC/EPSRC funded Synthetic Biology Research Centre at the University of Cambridge and the John Innes Centre/The Sainsbury Lab (www.openplant.org).

This includes the open exchange of new plant tools and DNA components that will promote commercial innovation and international scientific exchange, and exploration of the wider implications of the technology at local and global scales. The meetings bring together a wide range of engineers, scientists and policy developers to explore new technologies and possible models for sustainable agriculture, bioproduction and land use.

Membership is by invitation.
