Octopus vs Bear: Ceph and OpenStack's Grizzly Release

Ceph has just made quite the splash at the latest Open Design Summit, aka The Big Pool.  Well, Josh Durgin has decided to grace us with a splash back in our kiddie pool.  He's a Software Engineer from Inktank, who will present on Ceph and how it works with Cinder and other components of OpenStack.

IMPORTANT: Free underground parking will be available at Paragon Parking (557 S. Hope St.); bring the parking ticket with you and we’ll stamp it for validation. Please take the entrance ramp off of Hope St. and park below ground level (not the street-level lot).

The after-hours entrance into the AON building is on Wilshire Blvd. and Hope St. If the doors are locked, please use the intercom on the right-hand side, and mention the Meetup in DreamHost’s office. I presented at the summit and attended quite a few sessions. 3000 people! Lots of talk about BareMetal nova and TripleO (OpenSatck on OpenStack, our project to deploy OpenStack with itself). Also newly integrated Heat (a project I'm involved with) had quite a bit of engagement. If I can make it (75% sure yes) I'm happy to summarize, and I'm sure there were others from the MeetUp who made it and can share as well.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
