We’re looking forward to an open discussion with an introduction to the OpenStack block storage service and an opportunity to review and dive in to current features.

We’ll examine the differences between Block and Object storage, including the architecture and plugin model used in Cinder.

Finally we'll consider the importance of features like bootable volumes, multiple back-end configurations and how to expose vendor unique features through volume-types.

We'll try to have a running openstack setup with the latest code to show some examples of how to use some of the features we discuss.

Be sure to bring your questions!

I would like to attend, but unfortunately cannot. Will the event be recorded, so that I can watch a replay of the event at a later date ?
