OpenStreetMap Seattle Message Board › Update on SOTM-US 2013 and info about scholarships
(For those of you who don't know me-- I'm not a local Seattleite, but I do frequent your lovely city from time to time, which is how I ended up in this meetup group-- don't hold it against me, I'd live in SEA if I could!)
As most of you know, the annual US-based OpenStreetMap conference will be held in San Francisco June 8 & 9.
The main State of the Map conference will be two days packed with sessions on OpenStreetMap in use in government, education, and international development, discussion around how to implement and build maps with it, and strategies around advancing and using open geo data. There will be hands on workshops the Friday before the conference covering topics like editing OpenStreetMap data, working with OSM in QGIS, and setting up your own tile server, and a sprint day following the conference.
What you need to know:
More information about State of the Map is available on the conference website, and follow @sotmus for updates. And feel free to pass this on to anyone else may want to attend!
