Interesting... good idea on the purpose of the group. I have some homework... sell side non-directional options and iron condors.

I am fairly new at trading and new here but I just finished 6 months with phil town so I do know a little.
I made a mistake and bought an expired option and lost money on it. Why do they let you even buy expired options.

Hi Lowel, welcome! First, what is "phil town"? Second, you can't buy and expired option. So not sure what happened but I would talk to your broker who can explain what happened. Even if you could buy one, you would pay no premium for it just intrinsic value. So the only way you could get hurt is if it gaps the next day after it was assigned to you.
