The Gershwins: Here to Stay

George and Ira Gershwin were two of the most prominent songwriters during America's golden age of music. The Gershwins: Here to Stay celebrates the brothers in a new way. Not with just their unforgettable music, but with a multi-media concert event featuring family photos, rare audio and video footage, artwork, privately held manuscripts, and new musical arrangements. This show will be one that fans of the Great American Songbook will not want to miss.

We will be sitting in the Grant Tier, at the top! However, the Concert Hall has screens so we will not miss any of the visual details. Tickets are $25 with a $6 processing fee from Goldstar. Please follow this link when you pruchase your tickets, so we can sit together: http://www.goldstar.com/groups/1a5b4913bf196db12873a7f367f0709abc34c549. Please DO NOT purchase separate tickets on Goldstar. If so, you will not be seated with our group.

We will meet before the show at 6 PM at Bella Cuba (located at the corner of Sunflower and Bristol) and walk over to the Concert Hall. It should be a "S Wonderful" evening!

Absolutely fabulous!! The screen at the front of the Grand Tier gives a marvelous view of the floor and media production. A love fest for George Gershwin.....

Cole was outstanding and McNair's voice equally so.

Polished and entertaining exposition of the Gershwin brothers. Pacific symphony did well. Superb pianist Kevin Cole was close to the Gershwin's milieu and captured George Gershwin's style.

    John:
I thought I had reserved six days ago when I wrote “count me in for dinner”. I apologize if that wasn’t the correct way. I’ll go for dinner there if even one other person agrees to meet at the Bella Cuba at 6 PM.

    Best regards,

    David Lubman

    Don't give up!

    1. Arrive at the box office area early. Often people try to sell or even give away their tickets because of changed plans. 2. Pacific Symphony events are rarely - if ever- sold out. It's conceivable that the ticket office would sell you a discounted "rush" ticket.

Thanks for posting. I would have loved to attend this. Many such events start at 8:00PM, unfortunately this is almost our bed time :)

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
