Today (May 14th) is the 15th anniversary of Frank Sinatra's death in 1998. Frank was an artistic genius. He learned to sing by ear and never knew how to read music. He won an Academy Award and was nominated for a second one without any formal training as an actor. He did lead a wild (the Jack Daniels always there), energetic (was still touring in his 70's), maybe dangerous (is there any truth about his connection to the Mob?), and creative life (he also painted).
I would like to have an event at my home in Orange to celebrate the memory of Frank Sinatra. I will provide a full dinner of pizza, dark green salad with lots of veggies, fruit salad, dessert, all drinks except for wine, and coffee. You do not have to bring a thing. I am charging $12 to cover the costs for the event. **No refunds unless you cancel three or more days in advance, by Wednesday evening, June 5th.
I will give a short presentation on the life of Francis Albert Sinatra. We will watch a couple of video clips (have to see him do "My Way" and "New York, New York"). We will watch the movie "From Here to Eternity". He won Best Supporting Actor in this film in 1953. I have had similar events at my home honoring various artists and writers and they have proved to be very popular. So, please come and join us!!
