Dinner @ Taqueria La Bamba followed by 'THE STING" @ Maverick Theater

We will meet for dinner at 6 pm at Taqueria La Bamba at 446 S Harbor Blvd in Fullerton (.6 mile from the theater).  Afterward we will see the play The Sting at the Maverick Theater at 110 S. Harbor Blvd, Fullerton.

Please do not RSVP until you have purchased your ticket.  Please answer the questions regarding purchase of a ticket and attendance at dinner.

The devilishly handsome con men of the seven-time Academy Award-winning film The Stingare live on stage at the Maverick Theater. Set in Chicago during the Great Depression, this staged version of the cinema classic lures you into the world of small-time grifters and powerful mob bosses. Along with his friend, Johnny Hooker (played by Robert Redford in the film) successfully cons an unsuspecting player. Unfortunately, this particular player works for a gambling boss who arranges to have Hooker's friend killed. Out to avenge the senseless murder, Hooker enlists the help of master con man Henry Gondorf (played by Paul Newman in the movie). Together, they decide to try the big con, which will hopefully lead to "The Sting" and land the vicious boss in the poor house.

Special thanks to John for this wonderful event! I was inspired by the acting, directing and especially the stage design which delivered this challenge of transformation from the moving picture to a stage play!!!

John, I've had a bad accident and tore my Achilles tendon yesterday, so most of my day and evening was spent at Hoag. This is why I wasn't able to show up last night. Sorry. By the way, there is no way to communicate with you. Do you intend this, or am I doing something wrong? Hope to see you next time. Diane Lash

Well, I thought maybe I'd join you, but it appears to be sold out! Oh, time.
