The rapidly evolving chemistry of the ocean under climate change

Distinctive Voices banner

To most people, the deep ocean seems as remote as the surface of the moon. But these deep waters may play a vital role in determining how the Earth's climate responds to the millions of tons of carbon dioxide that human activities release into the atmosphere each year. Learn about new methods for studying carbon dioxide in the deep sea using remotely operated vehicles to establish underwater chemical laboratories that perform precision measurements on gases in the water column and on the seafloor. These experiments have yielded unexpected results on how carbon dioxide interacts with seawater in real environmental conditions.

tried to respond to your message but your ISP blocked me-short answer is that I don't know how the wait list works (might be a new feature this year), so I would try to contact the Distinctive Voices people-there should be a link in the email you received from EventBrite re the wait list
    good luck!

While free, reservations are REQUIRED, not recommended, & they have not allowed walk-ins or late seating in the auditorium the past year or two (although they might or might not have let you into the overflow video room)

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
