Jquery DataTables - an alternative to CFGRID

PRESENTATION: With recent comments by Ben Forta and the launch of 'ColdFusion UI the Right Way' by Ray Camden and Adam Cameron, there has been an on-going movement over the last year by many CF developers to drop the use of the ColdFusion's built-in UI elements.

In this session we will look at an alternative for the CFGRID tag. 'Datatables' a plugin for jQuery that provides a way of creating table based data displays with features such as searching, sorting and pagination right out of the box. The library provides a lot of configuration options and a simple API. We'll go through the basics of DataTables, user interactions and how to use some of the more advanced features.

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
