The Digital Video Special Interest Group (SIG) brings together presentations on video editing and special effects software, including Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe After Effects. Members share their experiences with video taping and using related software tools such as Adobe Photoshop. Camera equipment, both still and video, is also demonstrated and reviewed. Terry Syndergaard is the Manager of this SIG, which meets on the second Tuesday of every month. The fee for non-OCMMA members is $10, or $5 for students. Visit www.ocmma.org for more information.
Program: Solving the Quality Internet Video Mystery
For the past 4 years, Flash video has taken the internet by storm. All the videos you see on YouTube, Hulu, Facebook, MySpace, Google Video and most other video-oriented website are presented using the Flash Video platform. Mike McGready will share techniques and insights into how to get your videos to look great on the internet. This is Part 2 of a two-part series. About 5 years ago, Mike McGready started living his dream. He launched his wedding videography business, Album of Life video studios. In effect, this new venture was an add-on to his long-standing web design and programming business. He has been a member of the Orange County MultiMedia Association (OCMMA) for 12 years and has served on its Board of Directors most of that time. This is his 5th year with the Professional Videographers Network (PVN) and his 2nd year on its Board. Mike is also a skilled Flash programmer with a long history of website creation and design which enables him to make video look great on the internet. As owner and Creative Director of Album of Life video studios, he produces all types of event videography as well as corporate projects. "Priceless Treasures Pleasantly Affordable" is his company's tagline. He is the Co-Manager of OC Flash (Adobe User Group). Mike also serves on the Orange County Digital Media Advisory Committee and plays the same role for Chaffey College Broadcasting and Cinema.
