To Interactivity & Beyond!

OC Interactive - Tuesday, September 10th

Thank you to all that attended our August meeting. We will be meeting at our new location starting in September!

Our annual theme for OC Interactive is "BYOB with OCI in 2013". We will be presenting topics and speakers that support the theme of "Building Your Own Business". Agenda items will include topics that build technical and professional skills of our community.

Our September agenda will cover:

To Interactivity and Beyond! featuring Jeff Gomes and Sean Copp. We will discuss how to create and implement interactive communications between Flash and devices and will demonstrate a quick "how to" demo using a circuit board and some coding.

Who are We - Continued. We will review our mission statement and make updates as needed. We will also review logo concepts and determine what logo we believe best represents our group.

We will also continue with our tradition of sharing announcements and opening up the meeting to member sharing of tips and tricks, job opportunities, and requests for group assistance.

We will meet at OUR NEW LOCATION starting at 6:30 pm. Please come to the meeting with any logo concepts you want to share with the team.

Please contact Jeff Gomes if you are willing to help with food.

We look forward to seeing YOU on September 10th!

~ Jeff & Caprice, OC Interactive Managers

Sean Copp of ARXTERRA gave a fascinating presentation on controlling devices remotely (robots, security systems) through Flash (action script) programming. Great insights into 3D printing, as well. Jeff Gomes showed the Flash part of the process. They made it look easy.

Thanks Mike! I'm delighted to hear that you found the presentation to be of value. It actually IS surprisingly easy to start leveraging our interactive application development skills to manipulate physical objects and processes.

Hi All, I had planned to attend in person, but a late summer cold has changed my plans. Hopefully I'll be with you online, keeping my sniffles to myself. :-)
