Program: Build a ColdFusion / Flex application from the ground up
Wednesday, July 21, 2010

"Have you ever wanted to know how to build a ColdFusion / Flex application from the ground up? In our next series of monthly meetings we will tackle this. We will build a Widget for our own website <a href="http://www.occfug.org... that keeps track of our members attendance to our meetings, members participation, drawing opportunities, prize winners and eligibility all in a coldfusion powered Flex web-application.

Starting in July, we will start with the basics of creating the database, tables, queries and views, discussing different tools you can use and linking our database to ColdFusion.

Future meetings will continue this project where we will focus on building the Flex UI, linking to our database, building all the logic using Flex and ColdFusion Components and finally reporting our results using ColdFusion's Report Builder. So please come and join us for the kick-off in July meeting when we will with the first phase, Database Creation and Manipulation - Building The Backbone.

As a continuing special promotion, this month's meeting will be FREE of charge, with Pizza, Soda, and Snacks too, compliments of OCMMA and roundpeg!
