Having Fun While Creating Vector Art for Your Visual Story

In the next step of our journey toward telling our "Visual Story", we'll be looking to Sebastian Bleak for an overview and demo of several outstanding plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator created by the company Astute Graphics. Sebastian will be joining us live over Adobe Connect. These plug-ins will come in very handy for creating vector art for many different uses, and will strengthen your use of Illustrator. Here's a preliminary list of what he'll be showing:

1. Drawing & creating artwork with DynamicSketch and InkScribe

Draw with a mouse, trackpad, any Wacom device or graphics tablet more naturally, intuitively and quickly in vector.

2. Raster adjustments & transformations

Introducing true cropping of embedded images with Rasterino. And if you ever wanted color control like Photoshop's in Illustrator, Phantasm is your answer! All the essential adjustments including Brightness, Contrast, Curves, Levels and Exposure. Adjust all your embedded artwork in a few clicks.

3. Create symmetrical images with MirrorMe

A very powerful plug-in that will help you create symmetrical drawings and wonderful patterns.

4. Quick and easy arrangement of shapes with ColliderScribe

This tool enables you to position shapes accurately, placing any object precisely next to another when it touches. You can easily and quickly arrange shapes in formations and patterns.

And yes, there will be raffle prizes from Astute Graphics!

Thanks to Sebastian Bleak for a very informative and inspiring presentation on some of the Astute Graphics plug-ins for Adobe Illustrator! I can't wait to try out some of the techniques he showed! Fun stuff that will make my medical illustration work go a lot faster! Mike Champagne was our lucky winner of the Dynamic Sketch/Inkscribe plug-in bundle. We look forward to hearing back from him on how he uses these.

Sebastian Bleak did a great job of presenting the Astute Graphics plugins for Illustrator. It was intriguing to see how they made working in illustrator much easier and quicker than the work arounds we do between Illustrator and Photoshop. It was a introduction to the many new tools and good advice how we can try them out for free. Michael Champaigne was the lucky winner of the complimentary Astute Graphics Plugins Software, furnished by Sebastian. A great topic and useful training, thanks.

Cynthia's "Visual Storytelling in the Digital Age" is great! Sebastian Bleak of Astute Graphics showed some excellent tools to use within Adobe Illustrator. A "thank you" to Jeff for making a remote presentation like this possible.

I can't make your online or in person meeting on the 18th. It looks fascinating. Will there be a way for me to access it later?

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
