Joint General Meeting/Adobe Creative Suite User Group

Adobe Creative Cloud for Photographers

At our next meeting, we're excited to welcome back Dave Salahi, who was formerly a member of the OCMMA Board of Directors, as well as the User Group Manager for our OC Flash group for several years. Dave will give a talk on what Creative Cloud has to offer photographers. This meeting will be a great follow-up to our hugely successful CS6 Launch Event on June 16.

You may already know that Creative Cloud includes Photoshop CS6 and Lightroom 4, but it also includes online storage that is tailored to the needs of photographers as well as integration with Photoshop Touch, Adobe’s new tablet-based image editing software. Dave will show Photoshop Touch, the cloud-based storage, and discuss how these can fit into a photographer’s workflow using Photoshop and Lightroom. Dave will also discuss Creative Cloud support for sharing work with clients and colleagues and through social media.

About Our Speaker

Dave Salahi is a software developer by profession and has been an avid amateur photographer for many years. You can find his in-depth reviews of photo software and hardware at his blog:photoperformance.org and you can follow him on Twitter at @photoperform or Google Plus at +David Salahi. As a former OCMMA Board member and User Group Manager, Dave continues to be an active supporter of OCMMA.

OCMMA's Adobe Creative Suite User Group - Orange County (CS-OC) meets jointly with the General Meeting of OCMMA every third Tuesday of the month. Admission is free for OCMMA members, the price for non-members is $15, and $7 for students with ID. Come at 6 PM for networking and food and soft drinks.

Our meetings feature presentations by Adobe specialists, business entrepreneurs, camera and hardware pro's, and others. Topics include trends in multimedia, demos of Adobe Creative Suite applications, including Photoshop, Illustrator, and others, as well as discussions of best business practices for web technology and the digital arts. The goal of this group is to provide local designers and developers with a forum for learning from speakers and from each other about how best to leverage the power of Adobe applications in their business workflows. Cynthia Gordon is the Manager of CS-OC, and Virginia Houts is the Co-Manager.

Good presentation - informative without being over my non-techy head! Also, there seemed to be a lot of energy in the room last night. It was clear we enjoyed one another's company. Nice way to spend the evening.
