After Effects Abuser Group - Pushing Pixels Beyond . . .

Flashy Particle Effects
After Effects Abuser Group Manager, Terry Syndergaard, will be exploring Trapcode Particular to make controlled light swishes, having them create text or sweeping along the edge of a graphic for a dramatic logo presentation. No longer are you left at the whim of the random default as in other tutorials, being controlled by the program. Consider the limitless possibilities!
Photoshop for Video Pt.2
New Techniques for Restoring photos for use in your video production: Terry will show some advanced techniques beyond what was shown for our October meeting, including a bit of a review for those who were not able to attend.
We all have had the challenge of scanning an image from print and, as you zoom in, find it is comprised of a pesky dot pattern. After our last meeting Terry invented a couple new techniques that will give you, at long last, a photographic quality, complete with tricks to restore hair and skin edges, giving that much needed detail.
As with many video production projects such as weddings, Bar Mitzvahs, and other celebrations, the studio portraits from your client many times have a surface texture that shows up in your scan as a pattern that will flicker as you zoom or pan the image.
We will show you how to get a clean image with more tricks and magic from Photoshop preparing the photos for your video.
And if that is not enough, it is time again for our semi-annual ADOBE SOFTWARE-BUNDLE-OF-YOUR-CHOICE RAFFLE, valued up to $2100. Some lucky attendee will be going home the winner. (You must have attended one other meeting since January to qualify, and have not won in 18 months)
The Digital Video / After Effects Abuser Group has presentations on video editing and special effects software, including, but not limited to, Adobe Premiere, Final Cut Pro, and Adobe After Effects. Terry Syndergaard is the Manager, Bonnie Erdrich, co-manager. Meets on the fourth Tuesday of every month. The fee for non-OCMMA members is $10, or $5 for students.
