Happy St. Patrick's Day!!

CS4 - Photoshop - Josh Glaudin on Best Of The New

Josh will be reviewing and showing some of the new features in Adobe Photoshop CS4. He will also be showing Camera Raw workflow in Photoshop CS4. Learn about the benefits of Raw over jpg format, and why you should be shooting your digital pictures in Raw.
Looking to get into 3D or to use some of the new 3D features of CS4? Come see a 3D package that was previously $795 and now is completely free. What software is it? You'll have to show up on Tuesday, March 17, to find out, but here's a hint - it's been around since the Amiga days. And Josh will also show an alternative for Mac users too.
Plus a few more surprises that will make you more productive. You won't want to miss this demonstration. Josh is a past Digital Video Special Interest Group Manager, current Art Director for the Outdoor Channel, and all around digital guru. His presentations are always filled with helpful tips and tricks. Food and networking will begin at 6:00 PM. The meeting will be 6:30-9:00 PM.

Very informative and fun. Josh Glaudin the speaker is the Art Director for the Outdoor Channel and a past manager of our Digital Video special Interest Group. He very clearly explained and demonstraited the difference between Camera Raw photos and jpegs, among many other tips. Also, it was a nice group of people giving and asking for help and ideas.
Travis did a short presentation on the best bit rates to use for streaming High Def video over the web.
The evening was wrapped up with the member showcase of a 5 minute DVD production called "The Magnificent Seven". Animation and video were used to unveil a wild west movie poster Terry painted that we had presented to the client at The Dream Gallery premiere.

We had another great meeting, filled with informative and entertaining presentations in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere. Josh Glaudin shared neat new features in Adobe Photoshop CS4, Terry Syndergaard and Bonnie Erdrich shared one of their great recent animated video projects in our Member Showcase segment, and Travis showed all of us a comparison of HD video streaming rates live on the web. We also had great food and lots of time for networking and interactions with our presenters. I hope to see even more of our Meetup members at our next meeting!

Josh Glaudin was very good, demonstrating the new interface of Photoshop CS4 and fielding all questions thrown his way. Good audience participation, too, as is usual with this group.
After Effects - Pixel Motion was shown to deliver slow motion that is magical.
Travis showed HD streaming results at different bit rates. A good meeting professionally videotaped by Ron Sharp with all his great gear.

I learned enough in the first 5 minutes Josh spoke to make it a worthwhile meeting. His presentations are always clear and focused on things that matter in your day to day work. He sold me on the advantages of shooting photos in RAW and how great Photoshop takes advantage of the wealth of data that is retained with that format.

The food was excellent! What a treat!

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.

Henry, started Reno Motorcycle Riders
