Crystal cove loop

O: 20s30s40s CRYSTAL COVE LOOP: 10 mi r/t, 1000 ft. gain hike in Crystal Cove State park. 

**This is a conditioning hike**. Fast pace downhill and regular pace uphill. Only a few short breaks. 

Restrooms and water fountains at the trailhead and the bottom of the park. Bring 2 qts of water, snacks, hat/cup, sunscreen, hiking shoes/boots. 

Rain cancels if the park is closed. 

Address: Coastal Peak park -at the corner of E. Coastal Peak & Ridge Park Rd, Newport Coast, CA. 92657. 

Est. return time: 12:00 pm. Optional lunch afterwards at Newport Coast shopping center.

    I have been looking forward to hiking the Crystal Cove but the smaller 5 mile one on a Saturday or Sunday. Hopefully you schedule that sometime too also?
