Unity Blendshapes & Shuriken System Overview! W/ Special Guests from Microsoft!

  • Dec 11, 2013 · 7:00 PM
  • This location is shown only to members

Join us at Sleepy Giant's NEW Offices on December 11 as our Unity evangelist, Carl Callewaert will do a presentation on Blendshapes and the Shuriken Particle System.

***Update! Adam Tuliper from Microsoft will be on hand to go over the Windows 8 App Store and how to submit your Unity games to it!***

Microsoft has partnered with Unity to provide exports for Windows Phone and the Windows Store (Windows 8) for free. There’s no better time than now to take your games over to these exciting platforms.

Windows 8 runs on thousands of different devices. Over 140 million licenses have been sold, and each Windows install has the Windows Store app on it to find and download apps.

Windows Phone has now reached greater than 10% market share in many regions of the world inside of a year with some of the best smartphone features in the industry.

Both platforms, being relatively new, provide an excellent opportunity to get your Unity games noticed rather than lost in the swarm of applications.

In this session we’ll cover important topics for bringing your Unity games to the platform including

*  Platform overview and features

*  What’s required when developing on a PC or Mac

*  The Windows Store and Windows Phone Store registration

*  The application submission and certification process

*  Common issues and workarounds

*  How to get devices to test on

Come check this session out and discover a strong platform to bring your games to!

    Just a heads up that this meetup will not be at Sleepy Giant's previous offices... they have moved down the street to a much bigger facility. Check the address above for the new location. See you all there!
