I'm a UX Information Architect for Perficient (nasdaq: PRFT), a consulting company specializing in UX, web and application development. I have a Certificate in UX and Usability (CSUF-2011). I'm hoping to network and learn about new things.
I've been in web development since 1999. In the early days, the webmaster/web designer was responsible for creating interfaces that was user friendly. Today UX'ers must think above and beyond the product. They must test the product before product release. UX involves market and user research, competitive analysis, heuristic evaluation, persona creation, user centered design, information architecture, interaction designer, visual design, prototyping, usability testing, metrics and analytics.
"I've been doing web development and design since 1999. I have worked with AAA, Capital Group, Alianz Investors, Ford, Cardinal Health, United Healthcare, Harrison College, RealtyTrac, Toshiba, Boost Mobile, GE, Ameriquest Mortgage, and OCTA."
I'm glad there is a focus group in OC. I would be nice to have participants share their ux topics/issues.

Robert, it was good to run into you at OCUX last night. I look forward to the next time. Take care. :)
Welcome to OCUX.org Robert! See you soon at our future meet ups to share real world stories of the UX world.
Glad you joined LA UPA, Robert! Hope to see you at upcoming events -- unfortunately our next official one is in November, but I'm going to try to see if we can do something social before that.
Hi Robert. Saw profile on Taiwan Expat Going Out Group, when out of curiosity started looking for groups here in Taipei (v new to MeetUp - only joined for groups in Sydney Australia, for when I eventually get home!). Won't join the Expats one here tho.
Anyway, I'm not here for much longer, but happy to share a coffee/tea/beer
or whatever one w/end or night if you want. Can possibly also introduce you to some locals. Reply if interested. BTW - nice pics. Cheers, Cathy
