Our meeting Saturday

From: Lowell T.

Our next meeting is less than three days away, and so far we have two people who are signed up with plans to come and one person who has signed up but isn't sure if he will be able to come. If you plan to come, please RSVP because I'm uncomfortable not knowing who is coming to my house. My memory of our restaurant meetings was that hardly anyone would RSVP, but that a good many would show up. This is NOT going to work for me here.

Besides my comfort, there are other reasons to RSVP. For example, if I'm considering going to a meeting that I've never been to that is being hosted by a long standing group, and hardly anyone has indicated that they plan to attend, I assume that the group is of little interest to those who are already members and probably won't be of much interest to me either.

Also, Jim has said that he's going to bring the pizza this time, so he needs to know how much to bring. I will sometimes provide dessert, so, again, I would like to know how many people to buy for.

Even if you are unable to RSVP until Saturday afternoon, I much prefer short notice to no notice.
