I have always loved Les Miserables, since I read it in High School. I have a few favorites. The Red Tent by Anita Daimonte. It's such a powerful story of the strength of women and how much they loved and supported each other. Unspoken that came out last year is fantastic! I've recently been reading some great Sci/Fi with my family and found that there is some of it that I love. China Mieville is amazing! I was in a book club in CA that I loved! The people were so diverse, so we read so many things I don't think I ever would have picked and loved them all. I'm really hoping all of us together the same kind of book club and make new friends at the same time!
A few years ago that would have been an easy answer. Now there are too many choices. I love Historical Fiction, but love sometimes an easy, just fun to read on the beach novel. I've been introduced by my husbands book club and they read a lot of science fiction and some fantasy. Not romance fantasy, but strange and I like them! The best part of a book club is bringing different kinds of people, that bring different types of books that they would like to read. I want to push the envelope and learn to love all kinds of books!
I'm just a Non Mormon girl, (ok, I'm 55!) living in a Mormon world who loves to read, via Audible and wants to meet people like her. Have 5 children, & 9 Grandkid! Love books, Interior Design, & Painting. I'm the new Paint Nite Provo artist/Licensee!
So far I love it!
