Want to get to know other plant/vegie garden geeks and learn from them. I want to develop my yard into a permaculture paradise and learn about perennial vegies - yes perennial vegies - besides asperagus! I'm also interested in vertical gardening since my space is limited. So much to grow and so little space!! I am hoping to add chickens and a greenhouse this year too. So much to do and so little time!
Yes. Sometimes the bugs win and sometimes I outsmart them, but I refuse to use any pesticides on my food and my food chain buddies!
It's like an obsession with me. I often grow more than I can eat, but I love the great taste, and knowing that I grew it myself. I've started teaching my son about gardening too, and he's been helping with the harder physical work. I just love watching things grow, nurturing plants and watching them get big and beautiful!
This will be my second house and third attempt at growing vegies organically in my back yard. I've relocated my garden to new raised beds and am still under construction. I like the permaculture/forest garden approach due to lots of shade!
Great! It was so nice to meet so many like-minded urban gardeners!
