This sounds like a group that with whom I would have shared interest. I will not be able to attend meetings but would like to share the chat regarding plants and methods that work well in the south.
I have been composting and living in an environmentally friendly manner before it was in vogue. I have had an organic garden off and on since the 80's. In my present location, this will be year number four with this garden which I am increasing its size this year. Mine are all raised beds. I have taken a serious interest in growing our food. My husband is recovering from open heart surgery last year and doing very well. His open heart surgery brought to the table how quickly life can change. Nutrition along with exercise is fundamental to good health.
In previous years more from the pure love of seeing things grow and the added benefit of delicious vegetables with so much more flavor. Now, I am more than ever as my husband and I age conscious of how important good nutrition is for your health.
Judy Simmons, I have a small farm south of tupelo,ms. The farm consists of goats, chickens, horses, peafowl, and some roving guineas. I raise and show Bouviers..that is my other passion. Best, Judy
