Dallas Green Festival at Texas Discovery Gardens and the inaugural Texas Discovery Gardens Green Exhibit at State Fair of Texas®!

Date: September 24, 2011
Time: 10:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.

Texas Discovery Gardens is once again hosting the Dallas Green Festival, a celebration of environmentally positive living! And this year we're extending it into the first ever Texas Discovery Gardens Green Exhibit at the 2011 State Fair of Texas®!

That's over a month of environmental seeing, learning and doing!

These two fantastic events in one will feature activities and demonstrations on:

  • energy efficiency
  • energy conservation
  • water conservation
  • alternative transportation
  • bicycle touring and safety
  • recycling & composting
  • waterway protection
  • bee and chicken keeping
  • organic gardening
  • electronics recycling
  • rainwater harvest and use
  • sustainability
  • ...and more

We will have vendors showcasing thousands of eco-friendly products and services to you and your family to help you green your home. Visit with the artists filling the Gardens with beautiful works of art to view or to purchase. Schools, information and advocacy groups will also be on hand to spread the word and keep you informed and engaged in a relaxed setting!

Once again we will have live musical entertainment, delicious, healthy food vendors, a children's area for the kids, classes and life-style demonstrations to help you, and our neighbors, live a greener, healthier life!

Sign up for the Energy Efficiency and Water Conservation Class here.

    Jack,

I found your previous email with some info about that event. But I didn't see a location, time ...or that kind of info, so I looked on the meetup site and didn't see it there either. I might be missing something really obvious but, can you reply with that info?

I can't think of any better way for folks starting out to pack more learning into one day than taking a Citizen Gardener class. (but hey, I am a little biased on the subject!)
