Short/Beginners Orienteering Meet

Annual summer Tuesday night Sprint Series. If bringing a group of 5 or more, please email the meet director so we can ensure we have enough maps. Starts begin at 6:00 PM, and end at 7:15 PM. Course will be broken down at 8:00 PM.
This event is perfect for Beginners as the courses are short and easy. Also.. Don't be intimidated by the name. Many people walk the whole course and have lots of fun doing so.   It can also be a race so if you like to compete this can also be fun.
This time, we are meeting at Cherokee Park
Email Bruce Moore at [masked] for more info or post questions here on the Meetup Group Page

$2 payable at the meet for map and instructions.

These coordinates look to be the location of the event [masked],[masked]), not the address given.

    Please confirm.

Yes, I did not pay attention to the bubble. So I moved it. Giving descriptions for areas in Cherokee Park is difficult but the Soccer field is in the center of the park. If you follow the one way loop around you will come to it. Look for a registration table underneath a lone tree next to the field. Hope to see you there!

Haven't played with a compass on land in awhile. Looking forward to getting back into it.

    All,

Happy to have this opportunity to get involved with what promises to be an engaging/fun hobby. Any websites and/or books you'd recommend for a 'newb to Orienteering like myself?

Looking forward to meeting those of you planning on attending the Tues., May 14, 2013 event at Cherokee Park.

    With appreciation,

    Troy Plumer

I decided to start Reno Motorcycle Riders Group because I wanted to be part of a group of people who enjoyed my passion... I was excited and nervous. Our group has grown by leaps and bounds. I never thought it would be this big.
