Subject: [Orlando-Area-Dining-Out-Group] MAGICAL DINING MONTH, SEPTEMBER, 2011
WE ARE GONNA KEEP YOU BUSY IN SEPTEMBER!!http://www.visitorlando.com/magicaldining/
As you know, every September the best local area restaurants put together price-fixe menus and honor them in addition to their regular menus throughout the month; and they donate a portion of their proceeds to charity. Next month is no exception. All 3-course meals are
$30per person, and look exceptional. This gives us a chance to try places that may normally be out of our financial reach, but a great cross-selection of what each venue has to offer.
From their website:
Orlando has evolved into a true culinary hot-spot with award-winning restaurants and celebrity chefs serving exciting fare from across the globe.
Satisfy your craving for haute cuisine at an even hotter price during Visit Orlando's Magical Dining Month, a culinary celebration sure to please your palate and your wallet. Throughout September, Orlando's finest restaurants will feature three-course, prix fixe dinner menus for just $30. Indulge your inner gourmet with an appetizer, entrée and dessert at a different restaurant every week. Or even every day!
One dollar from each meal will be donated to Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida.
I have selected the following restaurants and dates - choose some, all or none of them at your leisure. Please do check out the list of restaurants and menus on the website, and support the program, either with or without our group. Here's where the group will go:
9/1/11 RanGetsu - Maitland
9/6/11 The Palm Restaurant, Hard Rock Hotel
9/14/11 Nick's Italian Kitchen, Thornton Park (From the proprietors of the Funky Monkey!)
9/22/11 Le Coq Au Vin - South Orange Avenue
9/25/11 The Boheme - Downtown Orlando in the Westin Grand Bohemian
9/29/11 Capital Grille - International Drive
The one other that I am considering would be on 9/18 at Luma on Park Avenue in Winter Park - they have not yet published their menu, I want to make sure there's a good variety of offerings for everyone (which is how I determined the list above!).
Stay tuned, I'll be scheduling
all the events soon...
Peace, love and happy dining!
