Red Cross Relief for Victims of Hurricane Sandy

Good evening, all -

The company that I work for is based on Long Island, NY and many of my co-workers were devastatingly affected by Monday's storm. Cities all up and down the east coast from North Carolina to Maine have been changed forever; some pretty much destroyed. This will likely be the most costly natural disaster in US history, and will take years to rebuild.

There are many ways to help. There are also a lot of scams out there, too. If you are able to help, be sure to carefully research any organization asking for any kind of donation before you give.

If you are looking for a simple way to make a difference, please consider making a donation to the Red Cross. It couldn't be easier - all you have to do is text the word REDCROSS to 90999 to make a $10 donation - the $10 charge will show up on your next wireless bill.

The Red Cross is also in dire need of blood donations. If you are a donor, now's the time. If you haven't donated blood before, but are able to, please take that step - it's a great feeling knowing that you are making a conscious humanitarian effort that will truly help those who need it most.

Please see the press release at the link below for more information.

In the meantime, please keep those dealing with the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy in your thoughts (and prayers, if you are so inclined), and if you are personally affected, please know we all wish you, your families and your friends the best.

Thank you,
Allison

Thanks for sending this Allison...I just did it.
