Learn about Women's History

Celebrate Women’s History Month at “It’s Not Your Mother’s Tea” with Shelley Emling, as the highly acclaimed author talks about her new book, “Marie Curie and Her Daughters: The Private Lives of Science’s First Family.” Emling rips the cover off the myth of the shy introvert toiling away in her laboratory and reveals the real person behind the two-time Nobel winner’s struggle as a working woman, a mom, and a role model for her children.  Emling has written for The New York Times, USA Today, Fortune, Slate, The Wall Street Journal, The Times of London, The Huffington Post, FoxNews.com, and The Christian Science Monitor.

5:30 p.m. reception; 6:30 p.m. program. Members $10; non-members $20.  Hors d’oeuvres and refreshments provided.

I started the group because there wasn't any other type of group like this. I've met some great folks in the group who have become close friends and have also met some amazing business owners.
