It’s that time again! Come meet the FamiLAB crew, see our Lab, and explore our latest member projects.
Last weekend, Minecon, the yearly Minecraft convention came to Orlando, and FamiLAB had a presence. We helped organize, and man the "Maker's Village." The Maker's Village was an area where you were able to color, draw, and stamp Minecraft themed locations, and characters onto giant sheets of paper. We also had polyurethane casted blocks, Minecraft papercraft, and 3D printed characters to play with.
At the other end of the village were Raspberry Pi computers running Minecraft: Pi edition. We had three Raspberry Pi computers, each showing off different ways of interfacing Raspberry Pis to the real world using Python.
We also had a custom Minecraft arcade cabinet that a member made. Along with a Minecraft animatronic.
So how does this relate to Open House? If you missed Minecon, many of the projects we showed at the convention will be at FamiLAB! :D
