LANParty in Orlando!!!

Hey all we are having another LANParty and this one is on my birthday!! DaniBoy will be cooking on the grill Sun and we will be holding a deathmatch tournament on Saturday. Everyone can bring food which would help and if you dont' have a PC just let me know ahead of time. We have 10 spare computers for the first that need them. You can bring Consoles as well. Two tables for board games and room for 25 - 30 computer stations.

Solgames is an awesome LAN event for all ages. So what is a LAN event? Well a LAN is short for Local Area Network, and a party is a group of people that get together to have a good time. So a LANparty is a group of people that network their computers together in order to have a good time by playing games and learning from each other. Not sure if a LANparty is for you? Well first you get to play lots of games. And you are playing against real people on a gigabit network. Next you are able to develope your computer skills by learning from a group of knowledgeable people. The best way to learn more about your computer is to use it. The focus of Solgames of Central Florida is to support a Local Area Network Party that provides computer gaming and entertainment as well as training and education in repair of computer systems to teens and young adults in the Orlando Community. LAN events are a great time to share ideas with others, work on projects and play multiplayer games such as Quake III, Unreal Tournament, CounterStrike and others in a real time environment.

LOL we go 24/7 so it is 3:00 am and we still have six people still up with the rest asleep. Sunday will be alot of my personal friends coming for my Birthday so most of them are going to be there to eat and drink and play in the hot tub/pool. Most of the gamers and new people will be Saturday. But Sunday my wife will be grilling at noon.

CRAP!!! I just lost Friday night and Saturday.... @#$%. Wanted to come. Sounded like fun. Will things still be on strong Sunday? Or better as this would have been my first meet just to do the next one? Either way have a good b-day. Hope to make the next one if I have missed this one :(

Soooo.. Dani, my wife is trying to get things setup for tomorrow and the weekend. We are providing food on Sunday for my birthday party. (grilling) And she is trying to find out how many of you are going on Sunday vs the other days. (Yes you can go to more than one day, most do) But Fri and Sat most bring their own food or creates a pot luck table for all to share. Sunday We will be doing the grill and cake etc. The hot tub will be open and we should be getting popcorn each night.

This will be the first meet up I have the chance to attend. I'll probably be a tad late though. Is it okay if I don't have a gaming pc?

We used to host them once a month and then the number of players dropped to 10. at that point my wife and I decided to do them every three months. So if the requests for them increase so will how often we hold them.

The games played are gamers choice. We do a lot of LOL and TF2 some SC2 and AoE2 and 3 a lot of warframe, NWN, and SWK as well as Artemis which only works with a large group. As far as for noobs. We are all a group of fun players. We used to have professionals when we did tournaments and when we dropped them to create a more friendly environment we found that the novice and casual gamers are more fun to play with. We do have a minecraft server and team speak server so many players play together even after the event is over.

You got guess pass/keys... my guess is I am not uptodate on tittles... I am an aggressive noob in that I have just as much fun getting shot in the head as capturing the flag, and taking that opportunity to shoot you back in the head doing it :) I dont have TF2 or SC2 for example, Have HL2 and all the old HL1 and source stuff... kind of screwed people when they make HL2 episodic.... I would be gone for a bit on Saturday... and may need to barrow one of those 10 systems... or if you have guest passes have a laptop to load stuff on

We have a list of the free and /or cheap games. That makes it easy for the new people to start. And our computers already have those preinstalled on them.
