NASA Atlas V Rocket Launch to Mars

I'm posting this as a suggestion from our member "Jupiter":

There is a 60% chance "GO" for the scheduled launch on Monday, 11/18/13 at 1:28pm (2 hr window after) to send a satellite to Mars, aboard the very powerful Atlas V rocket. A great viewing place is the spacious waterfront patio at Rusty's Seafood (628 Glen Cheek Drive, Cape Canaveral, Florida 32920;[masked]) along Port Canaveral. The restaurant has many beers on tap and specialty drinks at very reasonable prices, and a lunch buffet for $8 if interested.

From Lloyd (Organizer) :
This event was suggested from "Jupiter" and I thought it was a great idea even if it was a bit short notice. Sometimes great ideas are on short notice. I used to work for The Boeing Company at the Cape, so I thought this idea was a good idea for those who enjoy these kind of events.

I'll be at work at the Cape so I can't make it and I'm not too crazy about Rusty's. There's better places around here.

So far, it's on schedule. 30% chance of rain in the afternoon doesn't seem like a big deal. I'm bringing beach stuff too, just in case anything's canceled or for after the launch. At Rusty's I'll have my Harry Potter glasses on, and that red shirt.

Lloyd, I'd love to hear about your experience- too bad you can't go. (My father was a DBA for Boeing re: space station but didn't work at the Cape...)

Sounds like a lot of fun but unfortunately I have a work meeting otherwise I would be remotely working from the Cape while watching the launch!
