    - Ken: Robotic Hand Project

4. Show & Tell - Bring your projects to show us!

After the meeting, we may walk to a nearby restaurant to eat - all are welcome to join us.

See you there!

Thanks,

Kevin

PS - The Melrose Center does not allow food or drink, so please don't bring any food or drink into the club meeting... and just a reminder: All children under 16 years old must be accompanied by an adult at all times, for the safety of the kids.  Thanks.

Ya it was a lot of fun. Its great how diverse everyone's background is. Im sure there will be a lot of synergy once we start tinkering together.

FYI - The easiest & closest place to park is the parking garage which is located directly across the street from the library entrance. The garage charges $2 per hour.

Kevin and I had a really productive meeting this weekend. We're getting things organized for the monthly meet ups.

For the first one, we will be discussing a variety of robotic topics. Kevin is going to bring a few from his collection and I'll be giving a short talk about computer vision and a robotic hand I built.

Haha ok. That works. Less for me to carry.

Thanks... BTW, speaking of carrying stuff, I like to use these foldable carts for transporting my projects to & from meetings: http://www.officedepo...

We will gladly stop by... not sure how long we can stay... my boys are young. :)

Hi Jeanie, I look forward to meeting you and your boys. If the boys may become restless, you might want to bring something for them to work on during the meeting ... like a robotics or maker project they are interested in... and they can also show what they are working on to everyone else during the "show & tell" part of the meeting. See you all there! :-)

Hi Jeanie, I saw you are into man-machine interfaces! I did a bunch of research on the history of them and built an EEG BCI a while ago. I'll bring it in if I can get it working and maybe we can compare notes.

Hello everyone! Please take a moment to vote for apps developed by middle and high school students over the past 12 weeks! Teams of students worked together to build an app that addresses an issue in their local community, a women's issue, or a teen issue. http://kanicweb.com:1337/

Also, please join us tomorrow (May 8th) at 5:30 pm at Melrose Center to see the winning teams pitch their apps! Thanks for voting!

I plan to bring a few of my robots to show... I'll probably bring an autonomous Lego NXT bot set up for sumo and for line following, an Arduino bot set up for a robot parade event, a couple of RC sumo bots, a couple of robots from contests I've been in, a small quad-copter... some robotics magazines ... plus some common robotics components like microprocessors, transmitters, receivers, servos, batteries... I have many more bots, but I'll save some for future meetings... I'm looking forward to seeing what other folks bring! :-)
