Hello Fellow Writers,
I hope you're having a great new year!
I've noticed other comparable writers groups in the area charge $5 dues per meeting. I really don't want to go that route and raise monthly costs for our members during a tight economy, so I've kept the costs at $3 per meeting for 2014 as of right now.
However, for 2014 there will be a $5 annual membership fee, that works out to a little less than 42 cents a month if you broke it down. So you're paying less than the cost of a postage stamp (49 cents for a stamp in the new year) per month for being a member. Pay it once and then forget about it.
Membership fee is $5 annually. You can attend once without paying the $5 membership fee to see if you like the group and then when you return for the second meeting the $5 is due for the calendar year. Or pay online and then don't worry about bringing cash to the meeting.
What kind of investment do you want to make in yourself for the new year? IS improving your writing in 2014 and meeting other area writers worth less than the cost of a postage stamp to you?
Monthly meeting dues (separate from membership) are $3 to help support Meetup costs that I pay in advance, payable via Paypal or in person at the meeting in cash.
Right now I'm running a SPECIAL since it's the beginning of a New Year. If you pay $30 for the year, then you're set for the year and your dues and membership fee are covered until 2015, and save roughly $11 for the year if you attended every meeting. If you already attended our January meeting, then I am offering this to you for $27 if you've already paid for the January meeting. Contact me, and I will give you details about how to pay via Paypal, or cash in person.
If you already paid me $8 at the last meetup, then of course the special is being offered to you for $22 if you pay by February.
Thanks for being a member, and I hope to meet MORE Florida writers at the next meetup group!
