"Walk the Druidic Path"
Rebecca Henkins is a master herbalist who is also a qualified Registered Nurse, she teaches both paths to healing, working as a teacher to new nurses, as well as teaching about herbs in her other job as a herbal consultant and educator. From early childhood Rebecca had a love for nature that led her to learn about the plants that surround us and find out how to use them in a number of areas, from medicinal to cosmetic, so it wasn't surprising that she took to the Druidic path and became a founder member of the local WRCF, joining their first meeting and working with them for a number of years, and went on to become a Companion of the OBOD, member of the Henge of Keltria, Fellowship of Isis, Heirophant Priestess with a Lyceum, Grand Dame Commander with the Noble Order of Tara, Arch Druidess with the Druid Clan of Dana, Sister with Three Stone Abbey.
In Druid circles she is better known as Aauriane Veleda and when in Norse friendly groups Eirvordis.
This months workshop will be about the new Druidic religion--how Druidism came out of the new surge of the 18th-19th century re-evaluation of the set Christian religious state organizations and travelled across the Atlantic to the new world of the young democracy that America had become.
Learn what the Druid religion is all about, most of us have an inkling that it has some connection to nature and trees, Stonehenge and people in white worshipping the sun at the soltice, an old religion we may even know was destroyed by the Roman empire whilst it still ruled in the British Isles but, probably like me, that's were the inkling ends!
Find out the connections it has with Wicca and other new age religions, why trees and plants are so important to it and what makes someone take that path for their own journey!
