My contact with OCAS is having a meeting on Friday to discuss their requirements for this animal adoption iphone application. In the meantime, I'd like to get a small team together to help tackle this project.
I'm looking to work with one other experienced developer and two beginning developers. The work is pro-bono, so there's no money involved, but it would be a chance to do something good for the community. I would like to pair each beginning iOS developer with myself and one other experienced developer in order to help the beginners learn and get their hands dirty building an actual app.
I originally planned to use a bigger group, but I really want to keep the team small for this project, since it's the first time I'll be managing a team for an iOS project. If other community service opportunities come along, I'd love to have other people work on those.
If you are interested in working on this project with me, e-mail me directly at [address removed]. Please describe your experience level with iOS development and send links to any applications you've built. If you're a beginner, e-mail me and let me know what skills you can bring to the table.
Bonus points if you have .NET experience, as there's a web interface that will need to be put together to generate some JSON.
Finally, I'm looking for people who can commit 5 hours a week to the project for the next few months.
Thanks everybody! I'm looking forward to working with some of you soon.
