Hey Scott,

Would you be interested in giving a presentation about Core Data? Is that something you could tackle? If not, please feel free to suggest a few topics and I'll let you know if it's been covered.

Hello Andrew,

I am interested in giving a presentation at this month's iOS developer meeting. Is there a list of past presentations available I can review, to ensure the subject has not been covered recently?

Alternately, is there a list of subjects the group has expressed interest in, as of late?

Thanks,

- Scott

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you had a great holiday season and were able to refresh for 2013. I know I'm really looking forward to seeing what this year brings.

We are tentatively going to have January's meetup on the 24th. I still need to verify this with Echo and will make an announcement once the date has been verified.

I am currently looking for a presenter for January. If you're interested, and can have a 20-30 minute presentation ready by the 24th, please contact me directly.

Finally, the folks at Envy Labs are hosting the Orlando Ruby User's Group meetup and will have a presentation this month about building iOS applications using Ruby and Ruby Motion. If you're interested, head over to ORUG's Meetup Page and RSVP for the presentation.

That presentation will be especially useful to those of you who know Ruby and haven't made the plunge into Objective C yet. ORUG's synopsis is as follows:

"We're going to start the new year strong this month with Thom Parkin giving a talk on Ruby Motion entitled "How I learned to stop worrying and create iOS apps in Ruby".   There will be free beer & drinks from Envy Labs.

Ruby Motion is a new tool chain for iOS development written for Rubyists by Rubyists. Trying the "...in 24 Hours" book method of learning iOS mobile development, Thom dubbed Apple's [neXtStep] language as 'Objectionable-C'.  As an avid Ruby (and Rails) developer, he discovered that creating iPhone/iPad apps can actually became FUN with RubyMotion!"

Take care everybody, and I'm looking forward to seeing you all at the end of this month.
